CON-Pearl, NA partners with Method and Sustainable Coastlines

Greenville, SC- CON-Pearl, NA, a subsidiary of friedolaTech GmbH of Germany, has partnered with Method Home and Sustainable Coastlines to donate recycled plastic sleeves to aid in the effort to clean up ocean plastic waste washing up on the world’s beaches. Similarly, Shuert Industries donated the pallets and lids to support the CON-Pearl sleeves.

The sleeves are made of recycled polypropylene tri-laminate material and provide a durable, water resistant vessel in which to transport the plastic waste from the beach to a recycling facility.

“In today’s market, responsible companies must act to make decisions that create a healthier environment for the future,” CON-Pearl’s Director of Market Development, Jonathan D. Hern, said. “Method and Sustainable Coastlines are helping to lead the way and we’re excited to donate these sleeves to the cause.”

The sleeves are currently being deployed to the field and will begin full utilization by the fall on the beaches of Hawai’i and Florida.

“We are very excited about the generous donation of reusable pallets and sleeves from both CON-Pearl and Schuert, respectively,” added Ryan Williams, Director of Sustainability at Method Home.  “These pallets will allow us to more efficiently collect plastic and enable us to access more remote locations.  We have been impressed with the ease of assembly and strength of the container.”
